Earthbound Trading Company is a fashion and home décor retailer based out of Grapevine, Texas.
As creative lead, I direct the art department in fulfilling the design and creative needs for a growing retail company of 120+ stores.
2012 - 2013 saw a complete refresh of the Earthbound Brand. Project deliverables included redesign of the corporate marks, letterhead, website, packaging, in-store graphics and signs and all internal communications materials.
The Earthbound logo system is comprised of a primary logo and a secondary logo.

Working as an in-house creative can give you tunnel vision. I take on a reasonable amount of freelance opportunities in order to challenge myself as a designer. Here are a selection of logos from some of these projects.
NAICA Brand //
Role: Art Direction, Graphic Design, Web Design [ Go to Site ]
In 2005, under the direction of Maria Colon, I helped establish NAICA: Native American Indigenous Cinema & Arts. Together we developed a brand that was featured in multiple online art and literary publications. We covered several film festivals together including Sundance and imagineNative.
My responsibilities included brand development, design and maintenance of quarterly online magazine editions, blog and social media peripherals as well as fulfilling various print needs for film festivals and networking use. Copywriting and editing were part of my role as well.
NAICA’s quarterly editions featured rich content from a variety of contributors. Past editions covered the work of artists and filmmakers such as Chris Eyre, Shelley Niro, Taika Waititi and Sherman Alexie.
And yes, that is a gratuitous, grainy shot of Jemaine Clement (of Flight of the Conchords fame) wearing one of our t-shirts.
Babushka Doll Packaging //
Role: Graphic Design, Art Direction, Illustration
These dolls are currently a huge trend in home décor and the idea was to create a package that would increase perceived value as a home accessory and gift item during the holiday season. They sold like hotcakes. No big deal.
Concept, production and direction of commercial photography for retail promotional window displays. Subsequent design of matching print (and web) materials for implementation in 120+ retail stores nationwide.
